Brooklake Country Club Fusion Wedding
This Brooklake Country Club fusion wedding was probably one of my favorites to shoot! The mixing of two cultures & traditions make for a memorable experience. Take this fun couple’s fusion wedding as an example. The traditional aspects of a church ceremony, cake cutting, dancing, and even tossing the bouquet & garter are all present, but with a bit more flair! Forget the silky white wedding and embrace the vibrancy of color and character! Bright colors in the Indian culture represent the feeling of joy. These jewel tones make for some gorgeous shots! The romantic symbolism is also a unique aspect of a fusion wedding. For example, “the henna tattoo.” Most of us have have applied one for fun at a carnival on a hot summers day, but have you ever asked yourself where it originates from? Henna, or as it is formally known in the Hindu culture as “Mehndi,” is rich in imagery and symbolism. Brides sit for hours while it is applied and sets, and with beautiful reasoning. It is said that the darker the pigment stains the skin of the bride, the more luck will come her way in having a happy, loving marriage, with a husband and mother-in-law that adore her. It is also believed that the slower the stain fades the more luck will come to the marriage. If you are looking to explore the world in your own back yard I highly recommend attending one these events. Especially at this venue where the grounds offer so many great backdrops! The Brooklake Country Club fusion wedding, where tradition and culture unite.
